Sam Brocchini
SAM BROCCHINI | JUNIOR DESIGNER
Sam was raised around architects and makers and spent most of his childhood in workshops and studios in Sacramento, CA, learning woodworking, welding, ceramics, and construction. His interest in materials, making, and design drove him to study Architecture at UC Berkeley, where his studio work was recognized by peers, faculty, and University of California publications. He also received a minor in sustainable environmental design.
Sam's architectural journey started through internships at architecture studios in Oakland, CA, where he worked predominantly on local multi-family housing and mixed-use projects. He also apprenticed for a local glassblower, which provided an artistic outlet and expanded his material knowledge. Sam moved to San Francisco and joined jmA in Spring 2022.
Outside the office, he continues to refine his craft, creating bespoke furniture and other art in his family's workshop in Sacramento. He is also a musician and lover of the outdoors and is always happy to chat about synthesizers, biking, and skiing.
